The Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, and Tantras are the foundational Hinduism texts of Sanathan Dharma, the eternal religion. "Tantra" from Sanskrit means fabric, connection, wholeness. Central to the theme of tantra yoga is the divine energy and creative power called Shakti, embodied by the Goddess that is the feminine aspect of God. Shakti is depicted as the consort of God Shiva, who manifests himself as auspicious or furious. Accordingly, Shakti manifests herself as auspicious or furious.
